A group of children from an Oak Cliff youth organization learned they will serve as official player escorts during FIFA World Cup matches at Dallas Stadium next month. The opportunity allows them to walk onto the field alongside players during some of the tournament’s biggest games. As excitement builds across North Texas ahead of the World Cup, organizers also say free fan events at Fair Park will give thousands more a chance to be part of the experience.
